Phoenix Meeting | Friday 28th - Sunday 30th May 2021

The Phoenix Meeting offers a huge variety of competitions across multiple disciplines including Civilian Service Rifle, F Class, Gallery Rifle & Pistol, Muzzle Loading and Black Powder, McQueen, Sporting Rifle and Target Shotgun. Most of the Bisley range complex is in use over this weekend, with events on offer between 10 to 1000 yards there is truly something for everyone!

COVID-19 Notice: If you are feeling unwell or have Covid-19 symptoms, please do not visit the National Shooting Centre (NSC), no matter how mild the symptoms. The NSC has put in place Covid-secure procedures throughout the camp. Please adhere to the various notices and instructions. We respectfully ask that you maintain social distancing at all times, and practice regular hand washing throughout your time on site.

Competition Programme: Details of the matches to be contested are available from the Download section at the bottom of this page

For details on the courses of fire for each match, please refer to the specific discipline’s handbook which can be found online

Team Events: Concurrrent team events are designed to encourage clubs from around the country, whose members shoot together on a regular basis, to compete against members of similar clubs who they might not normally meet in competition. More details can be found on the Team Competition event page

🏅 Prizes: Medals are awarded to the top scoring competitors for each match subject to the amount of entries:

  • 2-5 entries - Gold Medal
  • 6-10 entries - Gold and Silver Medal
  • 11+ entries - Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal

Where a match is 'Classified' the results are split so your scores are listed against others in the same class. Classified events have classifications detailed at the end of their listing in the GR&P Handbook (View online copy HERE)

Alan Whittle Novice Trophy: This will be awarded to competitors who have not previously entered an open Meeting at Bisley or elsewhere. The winner will be whoever achieves the highest number of points in the standard medal scores system

Range Crew: Without dedicated volunteers this and may other competitions would not be able to field the amount of competitors wanting to take part. You can help out for as little as half a day, or if you fancy it – the whole weekend! Range Crew typically take on the following roles:

  • Chief Range Officer: 1 per range, in charge of overall range safety, and issues the range commands
  • Range Crew: On the range helping to reface targets, clear rifles etc.
  • Stats: Input all scorecards and produce prizelists
  • Markers
