Civilian Service Rifle Imperial Meeting 2025

Wednesday 2nd - Sunday 6th July

The pinnacle of the Civilian Service Rifle shooting year are the Imperial matches. Competitions take place from 25-500x testing every aspect of a competitors’ skill

Programme & Fees: 

  • Wednesday 2nd July: Imperial Match (£49)
  • Thursday 3rd July: 100/200/300 Yard Matches (£27), Long Range Rural Match (£27)
  • Friday 4th July: Short Range Match (£27), Urban Match (£27)
  • Saturday 5th July: Rural Match (£43), Falling Plates Team Match
  • Sunday 6th July: Methuen Team match
  • Entry into the CSR Championship is automatic upon entering all Thursday, Friday and Saturday individual Matches

Under 25 Discounts: 40% discount off entry fee for those that are under 25 years old on the day of the Event

Classes:

  • Historic: Any SMLE/ No.4/ No. 5 rifle, service pattern as issued, with no attachments
  • Iron: Any rifle with iron sights, with no restriction on slings (but rests may not be used)
  • Service Optic: Any rifle with optic sights with no restriction on slings. Rests may not be used. (Any vertical or angled fore grip, if fitted, may be used)
  • Practical Optic: Any rifle with optic sights, with no restriction on slings or rests. Bipods must remain in the folded or retracted state at the start of a stage and may only be deployed when on the firing point and moving into the final firing position. A bipod must remain fitted to the firearm for the duration of the Stage or Practice

Classifications: Each match in the Imperial Programme has its own Classification boundaries (see CSR Handbook). Within each firearm class shooters will be divided into classification groups based on the highest score they achieved in the three years prior to the current Meeting. New shooters to the CSR Imperial will be placed in the lowest class

🏆🏅Awards: Medals are awarded to the top scoring competitors for each match, in each class, subject to the amount of entries:

  • 2+ entries: Gold Medal
  • 6+ entries: Gold and Silver Medal
  • 11+ entries: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal

🍔CSR BBQ & Prizegiving: Prizegiving (and annual BBQ) will take place at 7pm Saturday 5th July at the Canadian Pavilion, following the completion of the Individual CSR Imperial Competitions. Prizegiving will start with the presentation of CSR Winter League awards for the 2024/25 season

BBQ: We have arranged a BBQ buffet to be served from 6.30-7.30pm. The Canadian Pavilion boasts a number of recent refurbishments, including to the bar and function space, whilst still maintaining its fantastic history. Tickets are £18 per person and include: Gourmet angus beef & chicken burgers served in brioche buns, North American steamed hot dogs in rolls, a selection of salads and desserts, and great hospitality!
