Youth Imperial Meeting 2026

Part 3: Tuesday 14th - Wednesday 15th July

Entry Requirements:

  • Age: You must be aged 14-24 on the day of the event. Please contact youth@nra.org.uk if you are under 14 and still interested in the event
  • Eligability: This event is open to NRA Members, shooters from other Home Office Approved Clubs, and individuals from other organisations with prior shooting experience
    • Shooter Certification Card (SCC): Either an SCC in the relevant firearm type, taking part in the Youth Target Rifle Meeting, or email youth@nra.org.uk with details of your prior shooting experience/ qualifications
  • Membership: Any entrant who is not an NRA Member will have to pay the Non-Member Fee of £17 (which coveres the whole of the Youth Imperial Meeting if applicable)

Firearms: Issued NRA firearms. These will be provided on the range

Clay Targets: Tuesday 17:00-19:00

  • Clay Experience: Suitable for those who are new or have no experience of clay target shooting. 20 minutes of instruction
  • Clay Competition: 20 shot sportrap competition, only available to shooters who have previous shotgun experience

Entry Fees

Experience: £15 per person

Competition: £15 per person

Gallery Rifle: Tuesday 17:00-19:30, Wednesday 16:30-19:00

  • Advancing Target: Targets advance from 25m, competitors fire 10 rounds whilst the target advances. This is repeated for a total of 4 Practices (40 shot match). Entry includes use of issued NRA Smallbore Gallery Rifle and .22 ammunition 
  • 25m Precision: Competitors have 5 minutes to fire 10 rounds. This is repeated for a total of 2 Practices (20 shot match). Entry includes use of issued NRA Smallbore Gallery Rifle and .22 ammunition

Advancing Target: £10 per person

25m Precision: £10 per person

McQueen: Monday - Thursday various times, see the McQueen Imperial for full details

  • McQueen A: 2 sighting shots followed by 10 shots on the sniper styled McQueen castle using issued NRA firearm and ammunition. FREE ammunition thanks to sponsorship from Accuracy International
  • McQueen Pairs: Concurrent results are drawn from the McQueen A results. Pre-nominate your pair before shooting

McQueen A: £11 per person

McQueen Pairs: £2 per team

Awards & Prizegiving: 

Awards are presented to the top scoring individuals in each competition, as well as the highest scoring shooter in each U16, U19 and U25 age class. Gallery and Clay Target awards will be presented at the Youth Prizegiving on Thursday 16th July. McQueen awards will be presented at the McQueen Prizegiving on Sunday 19th July
