Sporting Rifle Imperial 2026

Saturday 11th - Sunday 12th July

Programme:

🎯 Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th (PM): Fox Test, Running Deer, Running Boar, Swedish Deer, Stalkers Test. These event are shot alongside the Imperial Historic Meeting. You can re-shoot any of these events, subject to range availability. Re-shoot tickets can be pre-purchased, any un-used re-shoots can be refunded or used at the Nationals in September

Dewar Challenge Trophy: Best score in a ten-shot series in either the Running Deer Unlimiteds or the Running Deer Championships

Entry Requirements:

  • Experience: This competition welcomes novice and seasoned Sporting Rifle shooters
  • Membership: This competition is open to NRA Members. Shooters from other Home Office Approved Clubs are welcome but are required to pay the Non-Member Fee
  • Shooter Certification Card (SCC): If not in possession of an SCC, shooters may apply for a temporary SCC by emailing competitions@nra.org.uk
  • Age: On the first day of the Competition you must be aged 14 or over - please contact the Competitions Team before entering if this is not the case

Overseas Competitors: Those wishing to take part from overseas countries need to apply for a Visitor's Firearm Permit - CLICK HERE for details

Entry Fees: To be confirmed

Under 25 Discounts: 40% discount off entry fee for those that are under 25 years old on the day of the Event

🏅Awards: Medals are awarded to the top scoring competitors for each match, in each class, subject to the amount of entries. In addition there are specific trophies & sponsored prizes for certain events - please see the NRA Handbook for full details:

  • 2+ entries: Gold Medal
  • 6+ entries: Gold and Silver Medal
  • 11+ entries: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal
