McQueen Imperial 2026

Saturday 11^th - Sunday 19^th July

The McQueen Imperial is shot at 300x, with 7 unique classes from Target Rifle to our issued class that used NRA Accuracy International rifles

Competitions:

🎯 McQueen A: Sniper Rifle: NRA issued sniper rifles (see Para 153)

🎯 McQueen B: Target Rifle: Any Target Rifle (Para 150, but may be fitted with any sight) or Match Rifle (Para 156)

🎯 McQueen C: Historic Rifle: Any rifle and sights prior to 1945 designs: the sights and mounts must be in the spirit of the original. Any position, including Hawkins. Only the sandbags provided may be used to support the rifle

🎯 McQueen D: Sporting Rifle: NRA Sporting Rifles (see Para 159)

🎯 McQueen E: Any Sniper Rifle: Any Sniper Rifles (see Para 152). Any rifle that matches the specification of a general issue Sniper Rifle by any government, without any alterations or additions

🎯 McQueen F: Any Rifle: Any Rifle within range limits

🎯 McQueen G: Civilian Service Rifle: Service Optic (see Para 389)

🎯 McQueen Pairs: Teams of two shooters from any rifle club affiliated to the NRA, Unit of HM Forces or visiting team (regardless of discipline). Concurrent to pre-nominated scores in McQueen A

McQueen ACE Trophy: Aggregate of pre-nominated scores in the McQueen A, C and E competitions

McQueen Targets Aggregate: Aggregate of pre-nominated scores in the McQueen A and F competitions

Entry Fees:

First entry into each McQueen classes: £18
Ammunition for issued classes (McQueen A): £18
U25 Entry to McQueen A: £11 to include ammunition thanks to sponsorship from Accuracy International
Aggregates: ACE / McQueen Target: FREE
McQueen Pairs entry: £5 per team (McQueen A cards must be purchased separately)
Re-Shoot Ticket: £6 each

Under 25 Discount: 40% discount off entry fee for those that are under 25 years old on the day of the Event

Courses of Fire: Two sighting shots will be fred at a NRA DP14/03 on a 4 ft screen. Then with ten rounds loaded, the target will make ten appearances of three seconds, with irregular intervals varying between 10 and 20 seconds. Each appearance of the target (over cover and at loop-holes) will be randomly presented, the sequence being varied for each competitor. One shot only to be fired at each appearance

Entry Requirements:

• Experience: This competition welcomes novice and seasoned shooters
• Membership: This competition is open to NRA Members. Shooters from other Home Office Approved Clubs are welcome but are required to pay the Non-Member Fee
• Shooter Certification Card (SCC): If not in possession of an SCC, shooters may apply for a temporary SCC by emailing competitions@nra.org.uk
• Age: On the first day of the Competition you must be aged 14 or over - please contact the Competitions Team before entering if this is not the case

Overseas Competitors: Those wishing to take part from overseas countries need to apply for a Visitor's Firearm Permit - CLICK HERE for details

🏆🏅Awards & Prizegiving: Medals are awarded to the top scoring competitors for each match, in each class, subject to the amount of entries. In addition there are specific trophies for certain events - please see the NRA Handbook for full details. Trophies and Gold medals are presented at McQueen Prizegiving on Sunday 19th July
