McQueen Imperial 2026

Saturday 11th - Sunday 19th July

The McQueen Imperial is shot at 300x, with 7 unique classes from Target Rifle to our issued class that used NRA Accuracy International rifles

Shooting Times: To be confirmed

Competitions:

🎯 McQueen A (Precision): Rifles: NRA issued sniper rifles (see Para 153)

🎯 McQueen Pairs: Open to any number of teams of two from any rifle club affiliated to the NRA, Unit of HM Forces or visiting team (regardless of discipline). To be awarded to the teams whose aggregate scores, each member firing the McQueen A (Precision) match once only, make up the highest aggregates

🎯 McQueen B (Target)Rifle: Any Target Rifle (Para 150, but may be fitted with any sight) or Match Rifle (Para 156)

🎯 McQueen C (Classic)Rifle: Historic (Issued) Sniper Rifles. Any rifle and sights prior to 1945 designs: the sights and mounts must be in the spirit of the original. Any position, including Hawkins. Only the sandbags provided may be used to support the rifle

🎯 McQueen D (Sporting)Rifle: NRA Sporting Rifles (see Para 159)

🎯 McQueen E (Open)Rifle: Any Sniper Rifles (see Para 152). Any rifle that matches the specification of a general issue Sniper Rifle by any government, without any alterations or additions

🎯 McQueen F (Any Rifle): Rifle: Any Rifle within range limits

🎯 McQueen G (Civilian Service Rifle)Rifle: Service Optic (see Para 389)

McQueen ACE Trophy: Aggregate of scores in the McQueen A, C and E competitions

McQueen Targets Aggregate: Aggregate of scores in the McQueen A and F competitions

Entry Requirements:

  • Experience: This competition welcomes novice and seasoned shooters
  • Membership: This competition is open to NRA Members. Shooters from other Home Office Approved Clubs are welcome but are required to pay the Non-Member Fee
  • Shooter Certification Card (SCC): If not in possession of an SCC, shooters may apply for a temporary SCC by emailing competitions@nra.org.uk
  • Age: On the first day of the Competition you must be aged 14 or over - please contact the Competitions Team before entering if this is not the case

Overseas Competitors: Those wishing to take part from overseas countries need to apply for a Visitor's Firearm Permit - CLICK HERE for details

Fees: Details to be confirmed

Under 25 Discounts: 40% discount off entry fee for those that are under 25 years old on the day of the Event

🏆🏅Awards & Prizegiving: Medals are awarded to the top scoring competitors for each match, in each class, subject to the amount of entries. In addition there are specific trophies for certain events - please see the NRA Handbook for full details. Trophies and Gold medals are presented at McQueen Prizegiving on Sunday 19th July. Details to be confirmed

  • 2+ entries: Gold Medal
  • 6+ entries: Gold and Silver Medal
  • 11+ entries: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal
