CSR Falling Plates Team Match

Saturday 6th July 2024

Open to any number of teams of four shooters from any Club

Entry Fees: £18 per team, £10.80 U25 teams (all memebers of the team must be under 25 years old on the day of the event)

Event Details:

  • Teams of 4 firers compete in a 'knockout event’ to see who can shoot down 10 steel plates in the quickest time
  • Teams start in the prone position at 300 yards firing point and on the ‘Go’ signal sprint to the 200 yards firing point adopt the prone position, make ready and open fire at their plates. The team knocking all of their plates down in the quickest time (typically 23-25 seconds) goes through to the next round
  • Historic Rifles have their own class and whist the plates are the same the only have to run 25 yards before starting to knock them down

Classes:

  • Modern: Any pattern designed from 1955 to present
  • Historic: In abeyance 2024
  • Open: Any iron or scoped 5.56mm rifle. The course of fire will include a reduced 25 yard rundown, and all rifles must be shot prone unsupported – i.e. the use of bipods or a magazine to rest the firearm is prohibited

Entry Requirements:

  • Shooter Certification Card (SCC): Each civilian shooting on a MoD or NRA range has to carry a SCC issued by the chairman of a club of which they are a member and which is affiliated to the NRA. Competitors MUST be in possession of their SCC when shooting on NRA ranges. If you do not have an SCC for the type of firearm you wish to participate with please contact the Competition Co-ordinator before entering
  • This competition is open to members of Home Office Approved Clubs (HOAC) who are not prohibited under section 21 of the Firearms Act (The NRA is the largest HOAC in the UK). Non-NRA members are welcome, but are required to pay an additional Meeting Member Fee (if this has not already been paid as part of an Individual CSR Imperial Entry)
  • On the first day of the Competition you must be aged 14 or over (please contact the Competition Co-ordinator before entering if this is not the case)
