Open to teams of 10 members (Senior), 6 members (Junior) from any geographical county in the
United Kingdom, which is currently affiliated to the NRA* (Para 713). Squads are qualified by birth, residence or vote, any eight of whom may shoot in the Team Matches
Programme: All events include issued GGG 155gr Ammunition
Saturday PM: Short Range: 1+10 at 300, 500 and 600 yards:
Lt Col H Jones VC Memorial Trophy: Teams of eight nominated firers from the squad of ten
NEW: Junior Short Range Match: Teams of four nominated firers from a squad of six
Sunday AM: Long Range: 2+15 at 900 and 1000 yards:
NRA Long Range Team Match: Teams of eight nominated firers from the squad of ten. Open to the top 25 placing teams from the Lt Col H Jones VC Memorial Trophy match
NEW: Junior NRA Long Range Team Match: Teams of four nominated firers from the squad of six. Subject to range availability
The Champion of Champions: One individual per county, nominated on completion of The Long Range Matches. 2+15 at 1000 yards
Team Requirements: Teams of 10 members (Senior), 6 members (Junior) from any geographical county in the United Kingdom, which is currently affiliated to the NRA (Para 713). Squads are qualified by birth, residence or vote, any eight of whom may shoot in the Team Matches
- NEW for 2026: Teams may enter a maximum of 1 Senior Team, and any number of Junior Teams. In the event that range availability is reached Senior Teams will be given priority, followed by Junior Teams from counties that are unable to field Senior Teams, followed by additional Junior Teams
- All firers/coaches/captains must come from the pre-nominated squad of ten (or six)
- A competitor may represent any county for which they are eligible, except that they may represent only one county in any one calendar year
- Counties may, if sanctioned by the Shooting Committee, combine to form a team
- If there is only one rifle Club then a County does not need to affiliate
- If a County is not affiliated but wishes to enter, a reduced Meeting Affiliation fee of £25 is chargeable
Individual Requirement:
- Shooter Certification Card (SCC): In Iron Sighted rifle. If not in possession of an SCC, shooters may apply for a temporary SCC by emailing competitions@nra.org.uk
- NRA Membership: This competition is open to NRA Members. Shooters from other Home Office Approved Clubs are welcome but are required to pay the Non-Member Fee
- On the first day of the event, you must be aged 14 or over (please contact the event Co-ordinator before entering if this is not the case)
