Historic Service Rifle Match: Spring 2026
Saturday 7th February (08:30-12:30)
This is a half day CSR match dedicated to Historic Rifles, we thank the HBSA and LERA who have been involved in the development of this Event
Entry Fee: TBC, 40% off for those that are under 25 years old on the day of the event
Entry Requirements:
- Experience: This event is open to all abilities of shooters
- Membership: This competition is open to NRA Members. Shooters from other Home Office Approved Clubs are welcome but are required to pay the Non-Member Fee
- Shooter Certification Card (SCC): If not in possession of an SCC, shooters may apply for a temporary SCC by emailing competitions@nra.org.uk
- Age: On the first day of the Competition you must be aged 14 or over - please contact the Competitions Team before entering if this is not the case
Classes: This event is open to British pre-1955 Service Rifles under the Service Rifle (a) definition in three classes. In addition there is an All Comers Class for all Foreign Service Rifles:
- Classic: Pre-1919 SMLEs
- Veteran: Pre-1955 No 4s/No 5s
- Veteran Optic: Pre-1955 No 4T
- All Comers Iron: Pre-1972 Foreign Service Rifles
Course of Fire: See the separate Course of Fire document. The event is based on military practices at 100, 200 and 300 yards, shooting from standing, kneeling, sitting and prone. There are no Run Downs! Targets will be black & white Figure targets, Fig 12 at 100 yds, Fig 11 (full size) at 200 and 300 yds
🏅Awards: Medals will be awarded to the winners of each class subject to the amount of entries:
- 2+ Entries: Gold Medal
- 6+ Entries:Gold and Silver Medal
- 11+ Entries: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal
