CSR League 2022-23

NRA Members: Please note if your membership has not yet renewed for 2023 you will be charged the Non-Member fee. If you pay your membership via Direct Debit the fee will be refunded back to you once the DD payment has cleared our system

Shooting Programme: A downloadable course of fire will be available from this page prior to entries opening

• AM: Long Range Practices: 500x Harassing Fire, 400x Snaps, 300x Rapid, 300x Deliberate

• PM: Short Range Practices: 200x Bisley Bullet, 200x Rapid, 100x Snaps, 100x Deliberate

Squadding: Squadding should be available to view at nra.org.uk/csrsquadding from 5pm the Tuesday before each match and will be updated up till 4pm the Friday before the match - please check back before attending to be sure of your final squadding

If you have any squadding requests for January's matches please ensure your entry is received no later than Friday 16th December.

Any squadding requests should be communicated in the comments box, listing one name and GRID only, for the one competitor that you wish to be paired with, the reason for the squadding request, and if you are looking to be squadded with a larger group please state whether you all wish to be in A/B or C/D.

Please ensure both competitors in your pair list the same information in your squadding request.

Awards

With this season's introduction of classifications in CSR events the award structure has been re-vamped, with three categories of prizes up for grabs. Medals and awards are presented based on the final results in the CSR League, not for individual competitions;

NRA Awards:

🏅 Classless/Overall League: The highest scores overall in each rifle type, regardless of class, will be awarded with a piece of etched glassware, as per the below; 

• Historic Enfield - 1st & 2nd highest scorers
• Any Iron – 1st & 2nd highest scorers
• Practical Optic - 1st, 2nd & 3rd highest scorers
• Service Optic - 1st, 2nd & 3rd highest scorers

 🏅 Classified League: NRA Medals are awarded in each event and to each class, subject to Prize List 'D' of the NRA handbook; 

• 2+ Entries: Gold Medal
• 6+ Entries: Gold and Silver Medal
• 11+ Entries: Gold, Silver and Bronze Medal

About the League: The CSR Winter League runs from October to April each year, typically meeting on the first weekend of the month for one day of competition. The day is divided up into AM and PM, during both sessions you will shoot and be in the butts, with two separate matches typically one long range and one short range

For the majority of competitions you can expect to be shooting between 25-500x in a mixture of prone, sitting, kneeling or standing positions

These events are self-marked; at the firing point two competitors will be assigned (squadded) to one target, the first will shoot the first practice, followed by the second competitor. Meanwhile in the butts, two competitors will be assigned to each target to operate the targetry, organised by a Butts officer
