CSR Imperial Team Matches 2025

Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th July

Entry Requirements:

  • Shooter Certification Card (SCC): All shooters MUST be in possession of their SCC when shooting on NRA ranges. This is awarded to NRA Members, or by a Club Chairperson (of NRA affiliated Clubs) once a shooter has satisfied criteria as to the shooter’s ability to use firearms and ammunition safely. If not in possession of an SCC, shooters may apply for a temporary SCC by emailing competitions@nra.org.uk

  • This event is open to members of Home Office Approved Clubs (HOAC) who are not prohibited under section 21 of the Firearms Act (The NRA is the largest HOAC in the UK). Non-NRA members are welcome but are required to pay the Non-Member Fee

  • On the first day of the event you must be aged 14 or over (please contact the event Co-ordinator before entering if this is not the case)

Falling Plates:

Entry Fees: £TBC per team, £TBC U25 teams (all members of the team must be under 25 years old on the day of the event)

  • Teams of 4 firers compete in a 'knockout event’ to see who can shoot down 10 steel plates in the quickest time
  • Teams start in the prone position at 300 yards firing point and on the ‘Go’ signal sprint to the 200 yards firing point adopt the prone position, make ready and open fire at their plates. The team knocking all of their plates down in the quickest time (typically 23-25 seconds) goes through to the next round
  • Historic Rifles have their own class and whist the plates are the same the only have to run 25 yards before starting to knock them down

Methuen Cup:

Entry Fees: £TBC per team, £TBC U25 teams (all members of the team must be under 25 years old on the day of the event)

Event Details:

  • Following the individual Imperial CSR matches the Methuen is a Team match shot in two classes: Modern and Historic
  • Teams of 6 firers and a non-shooting captain take part in the Short Range Match for the Mauser and Mons Trophies, additional individual awards, the Kukri and Bayonet Trophies, are also presented for the highest score in each class
  • Up to 20 teams can take part and clubs from all over the United Kingdom and from Europe enter this closely fought match and although team scores are monitored throughout the match the winners are not know until the last shot is fired

Classes:

  • Historic Enfield: Any SMLE/ No.4/ No. 5 rifle, service pattern as issued, rest may not be used, trigger weight minimum 4.5lbs, sling as issued

  • Practical Optic: Any rifle with optic sights, with no restriction on slings or rests, trigger weight minimum 1.5kg. If any rest is utilised it must remain fitted to the rifle at all times during the match
